Isidra Mencos

Originally from Spain, Isidra Mencos has lived in the US since 1992. She holds a PhD in Spanish and Latin American Contemporary Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, where she taught Spanish language, literature, and creative writing for twelve years. Her book of short stories, Juego de voces, was published by Ediciones Navegante (1997). Her memoir pieces have been published in the Chicago Quarterly Review, Front Porch Review and Penmen Review. She has been a featured blogger on BabyCenter, the Latino Community Foundation, Better After Fifty, and the Huffington Post, among others.
