Hunter Choate’s writing received Distinguished Story recognition in The Best American Short Stories 2017 and made the Special Mention list in The Pushcart Prize XLII: Best of the Small Presses 2018 Edition. His stories appear or are forthcoming in Notre Dame Review, The Normal School, The Pinch, and Pleiades, among others. He lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife and their rescue cat.
