Florina writes for The Atlantic, CNN, Education Week, Electric Literature (Pushcart Prize nomination) and many others. She's the co-founder of Authentic Manhattan, a nonprofit that supports low-income, gifted kids through after-school programs, scholarships, and mentorship. Florina holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University and an M.S. in English Education from Fordham, and has taught writing to middle school, high school, and college students.
