Eireene Nealand

Eireene was a Fulbright Scholar to Sofia Bulgaria in 2014-15. She has received multiple awards including an Elizabeth Kostova Fellowship in Fiction and an Ivan Klima Fiction Fellowship to the Prague Summer Programs. After completing her MFA at San Francisco State, she went on to finish a PhD in Literature at UC Santa Cruz, where she studied proprioception, a coordinative faculty that allows humans to sense motion, textures, and shifts.
