Debra Allbery

Debra Allbery is the author of Walking Distance, winner of the University of Pittsburgh Press's Agnes Lynch Starrett Award, and Fimbul Winter (Four Way, 2011), winner of Grub Street's National Book Prize in poetry. Among her other honors are two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Discovery/The Nation prize, two individual artist grants from the New Hampshire Council on the Arts, and a Hawthornden Fellowship. Her work has appeared in The Yale Review, The Kenyon Review, Poetry, Ploughshares, The Nation, and numerous other journals. She directs the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College, where she has served on the faculty for over 25 years.
