Cherise Morris

Cherise Morris is a Detroit-based writer from rural Virginia. Her essays have appeared in notable publications such as The Iowa Review, Fourth Genre and Longreads. Her creative nonfiction and essays use personal narrative, historical analysis and poetic devices to blur the boundaries between time, genre and space. She has a B.A. from Brown University in Africana Studies and dropped out of the Public Humanities Masters Program at Brown University after one semester.
