Cecca Austin Ochoa is a fiction writer and essayist. She serves as Managing Editor for Apogee Journal. She co-founded, served as Editor and Contributing Writer for Art xx and Aorta_magazines. Her writing has appeared in MAKE: A Literary MagazineNat. BrutKweli Journal and elsewhere; and is anthologized in Pariahs_ (SFA Press) and IMANIMAN (Aunt Lute Press). She is a 2014 Alumnus of Voices of Our Nation's Artists. She is a recipient of the Astraea Foundation’s Lesbian Writer’s Award for Fiction. Cecca hails from Oakland, and lives in Brooklyn.
