Catherine Foley

Dr Catherine Foley is Founding Course Director of both the MA in Ethnochoreology and the MA in Irish Traditional Dance Performance at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, Ireland; she also supervises doctoral research in dance (academic-based and practice-based) at the Academy. She is the Founding Director of the international dance festival, TrĂ¡th na gCos; she is Founding Chair Emerita of the international society, Dance Research Forum Ireland, and is Founding Director of the National Dance Archive of Ireland. She is currently Chair of the International Council for Traditional Music Study Group on Ethnochoreology
