Caroline Sutton

Caroline Sutton's essays have appeared in North American Review, Cimarron Review, The Pinch, The Literary Review, Fifth Wednesday, Ascent, Southwest Review, and Tampa Review. "Eclipsed," included here, received Southern Humanities Review's Theodore Christian Hoepfner Award.

Sutton was born in Philadelphia. After graduating from Wesleyan University, she moved to Manhattan where she worked as an editor for Charles Scribner's Sons and Hilltown Press before turning to freelance writing, teaching, and raising two children. She currently teaches creative nonfiction at The Masters School and lives in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
