Brenna Womer

Brenna Womer is a fiction & creative nonfiction writer living in the Upper Peninsula. She is currently at work on her MFA at Northern Michigan University where she teaches composition and serves as an associate editor for Passages North. Prior to her most recent migration, Brenna was an Air Force brat born in England, where her father’s side still resides in Cambridge. She lived in California, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Alaska before she and her parents settled down in Springfield, Missouri. She earned her BA in English with an emphasis in American Literature and her MA in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Missouri State University. There, she taught composition and served as an assistant editor for Moon City Review as well as the intern for Moon City Press. She’s currently taking advantage of all the Upper Peninsula has to offer—Lake Superior, lighthouses, beaches, and hiking trails; craft breweries, festivals, famers’ markets, and co-ops; and the kindest, gentlest people you’ll ever meet.
