Abdullahi Janno is a writer and educator living in Minnesota with his family. He has been writing short stories in both Somali and English. Most of his Somali stories are published online.

‘Needs’, a short story in English, has been anthologized in Err: Volume I. And ‘Heirloom’ is another short story appearing in Hamline University’s Water~Stone Review in the fall of 2018.

Abdullahi has published the e-book Qasaaye: A Collection of Stories on Kindle, and Dhakafaar – a collection of Somali short stories on Createspace. When not reading or writing or spending time with family, he jogs, bikes, and enjoys bird watching.
